- I took my first steps as a professional photographer in Cuba for the music magazine, “Clave”. I worked alongside my mentor, Juan José Vidal Hernandez from whom I learned how to combine technical precision and artistic ambition.

- I always try to study a subject from every possible angle and include its relation to the world surrounding it to be able to capture its essence in as detailed a way as possible. Showing the context of objects is the reportage approach that runs like a thread throughout my work. I am particularly interested in making portraits of people that tell their story and to celebrate nature and its beauty in every shape and every type of weather.

- I also employ my artistic approach in the design of books, logos and websites. I have expanded the last ten years of my career to include an additional professional field that is closely related to photography graphic design, which is based on the same basic principles that apply to the fine arts. There is always a perfect combination for structure and composition that guides me in everything I do.

- My partnership with author and artist, Christiane Sternberg is another perfect combination for me, personally and professionally. For almost 20 years our combined artistry has lead us through meandering paths of creative adventures and will never stop leading us to new exciting ventures. Mutual inspiration, joint travels and the dedicated implementation of our resulting ideas have led to a broad portfolio – from our own newspaper to books and exhibitions to the gallery in Porto Cristo with many others in between.
